When Peugeot stopped production of the Peugeot 305 GLD estate after having delivered more than 1700 to the gendarmerie, the latter looked for a replacement and it was the Renault 21 Nevada that won the contract to the detriment of the Citroën BX 19 TD Evasion and the Peugeot 405 GLD.
